Piotr

Kalaripayattu Practitioner, Chef, Personal Trainer & Nutritionist

Piotr is a dedicated Kalaripayattu Practitioner, personal trainer, student of psychology, a highly experienced vegetarian chef and a founder of Marma Ayurveda. His journey into Yoga and Ayurveda began in 2015. Through regular yoga practice, he discovered the foundational principles of Ayurveda, which supported his return to health.

In 2019, Piotr moved to London to train under Nic Gil at the Kalaripayattu Academy UK. Over the years, his passion for Kalari deepened as he experienced profound physical transformation, gaining both strength and flexibility. During this time, he also completed professional training as a personal trainer, with specialisations in sports nutrition, obesity management, and working with individuals with diabetes.

However, the fast pace of London life eventually led to burnout. In 2023, seeking clarity, Piotr travelled to the source of his practice, the CVN Kalari in Trivandrum, one of the most renowned Kalari institutions and a central hub of the CVN tradition. There, under the guidance of masters Sathyanarayanan Govindankutty Nair and Rajasekharan Nair, he reconnected with and deepened his passion for Kalaripayattu. With the permission of Gurukkal Sathyanarayanan, Piotr continues his training with master Sunil Kumar at CVN Calicut, an internationally recognised school where many Hollywood and Bollywood actors have prepared for film roles, as well as with Swami Jayesh at CVN Mavelikara.

Piotr’s work as a personal trainer is deeply inspired by Kalaripayattu; in many ways, his fitness practice serves as an extension of his Kalari path.

"Piotr's ongoing training encompasses not only martial techniques, but also anatomy, vital points (marma), therapeutic massage, herbal oils, breathwork, and other elements of this comprehensive system."

Alongside movement and healing, Piotr has cultivated a lifelong passion for cooking. He has been cooking since childhood and has worked professionally as a chef for the past seven years. Combining culinary skill with nutritional knowledge, he creates vegetarian cuisine that is both nourishing and flavourful, inspired by his travels and diverse cultural influences. Piotr brings creativity and mindfulness to every dish he prepares. His cooking reflects his philosophy of healthy living and balanced nutrition.

Continuing to expand his holistic approach to health, Piotr is currently studying a degree psychology with psychotherapy at the Greenwich University in London. His aim is to support wellbeing on every level—from digestion and the physical body to the mind—seeking the same balance that lies at the heart of Ayurveda.
