Experience and learn about the world’s oldest healing system
This retreat offers an inspiring, hands-on introduction to Ayurvedic principles and practices that can bring clarity, vitality, and harmony to everyday living. We will immerse ourselves in the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda.
Through guided sessions, we will explore the foundations of Ayurveda: understanding the doshas (body-mind types), learning how to align your lifestyle with nature’s rhythm and cultivating awareness of the subtle connection between food, body, and mind.
We will also enjoy the beauty of cooking as a daily act of self-care. Together, we’ll prepare nourishing Ayurvedic recipes using herbs and spices to balance digestion, support immunity, and restore inner harmony. You’ll leave with practical knowledge of how to adapt your diet to seasonal changes and your unique constitution.

Kalarippayattu
A Holistic Path of Body, Mind & Spirit
Originating from Kerala (India), Kalarippayattu is often called the "mother of all martial arts," but its essence goes far beyond physical combat. It is an ancient science of managing life energy, inextricably woven into a healing system and philosophy.
The Medical Aspect (Kalari Chikitsa)
Knowledge of Marmas: Training is based on the knowledge of 108 vital points (Marma). The student learns them to neutralise an opponent in combat and to heal in a medical context.
The system is deeply linked with Ayurveda. It includes massages with special medicinal oils, bone setting, and treating injuries sustained during training.
When the Body Becomes All Eyes
The ultimate goal of training is to achieve a state called Meyyu Kannaguka - “When the Body Becomes All Eyes”. It involves developing an instinctive, spherical awareness in which every inch of skin "sees" and reacts to a threat without conscious thought. The practice includes Vadivu, postures inspired by animal movements (e.g., the lion, elephant, snake). These not only build strength but also encode the animal's primal motor skills and character into the practitioner's body.
Discipline & Spirituality
Kalari is essentially "meditation in motion." Every training session begins and ends with a ritual of respect for the earth, the teacher and the weapons. It requires a total silencing of the ego. Through breathwork and the repetition of forms, practitioners learn to master their emotions, which translates into calm in daily life.
Kalarippayattu teaches you to understand your own physiology, heal it, and maintain the mind in a state of highest readiness and peace.
AGNI HOTRA
Agnihotra is a healing fire from the ancient science of Ayurveda. It is a process of purifying the atmosphere through a specially prepared fire, performed daily at sunrise and sunset.
The beneficial effects of Agnihotra help to reduce stress, improve overall health and give one increased energy. This simple yet powerful tool is used across the planet by people from all walks of life with amazing results that help to transform their lives and heal the planet.
We will gather each morning and evening to perform Agnihotra together, welcoming those who wish to participate in this meditative practice of renewal, balance, and connection with nature’s divine rhythm.
